I don’t know about you but I’m a huge harry potter fan so I thought about incorporating the harry potter theme into my Christmas tree ornaments? They are all really easy to make so if you love harry potter as much as I do, keep on watching!
For the remembrall you will need: a clear ornament and red Christmas ribbon.
For this project I’m using this red and gold wire ribbon and first I’m going to start cutting out the golden edges. Then cut some strips as I’m doing here. Once you have a bunch of strips make a ball and place them inside the clear ball. Now I’m going to use the strip from the edges we cut before to make a golden line to make it look like Neville’s remembrall. And you can also use gold glitter for this. I’m using a hot glue gun to secure the pieces in place. And that’s it!
For the second idea you will need: little bottles, star glitter, ribbon, printed shields, screw hooks and some cord.
Start off by placing your hooks on the cork lid of the bottles. Then just fill them with the star glitter. If you can’t find this you can use whatever you want like regular glitter, colored sand or beads. Then carefully cut the shields ,and if you wonder where I find them, I just print them out from Google. And glue them down to the bottle.
Then I just made a bow with some ribbon and tie some cord so you can hang it from your tree and repeat for the rest of the houses. This blue one was Ravenclaw so the rest are the red Griffindor, the yellow Hufflepuff and the green Slitherin. I also made a white one for Hogwarts and as I didn’t have white glitter, I used beads and pearls. I really love how these ones turned out, they look like little potions of each Hogwarts house. Don’t forget to secure them well in your tree because the glass bottles will break if they fall.
The last idea is actually an edible ornament and you will need: some Ferrero Rocher chocolate, some white or yellow feathers and some cord.
Start by removing the little sticker and the brown paper from the chocolate. Then I cut some feathers from my feather boa. I chose a couple of those and glue them to one side of the chocolate and then two more to the other side. Then I tied and glued a piece of cord to the top and that’s how easy it is! And the best part is that you can eat them whenever you want so I think they are also great as gifts for your Harry potter fan friends.
That was it for this video I hope you liked it and let me know in the comment which house of Hogwarts is your favorite. Mine is definitely Ravenclaw. I hope you are all having an amazing December so far and I will come back next week with more DIYs for you. Thanks for watching!!
